Hello there. My name is Dia Ascenzi. I’m from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and currently located in Brooklyn, New York.
I’ve always had a passion for writing and editing. I’ve always been quite good at it. And even now that it’s my job, I still don’t see it as work. I believe this is what separates good writers from great writers. Well, one of the things. I mean, you also have to be a great writer. If you aren’t enjoying what you’re doing, you aren’t going to take it nearly as seriously.
When my writing and editing career began, I worked alongside a couple other writers for a very small, tight-knit content firm. I started as a contributing writer. Within two months I was promoted to lead writer, then associate editor, and then managing editor. After a little over a year, I was the editor-in-chief for a short time, before I decided to move on and freelance solo.
As a freelance writer with several years of experience, I’ve developed the discipline and knowledge to research and write about a myriad of different topics, and in any writing style or tone. I take pride in it, which sets me above writers who charge the bare minimum and crank out thousands of words per day. I highly value ongoing client relationships, as they allow me to get to know your preferences, and become at least slightly specialized in the subject matter you want. More important than being proud of the work I’m doing, I care about you being happy with the process, as well as the end product.
I’ve always been a bit of a perfectionist. In the writing industry, that can’t be anything but a good thing. Sure, I take my time. But I also provide content that I’m proud of. And if necessary, I communicate with you every step of the way to make sure you are getting exactly what you asked for. Transparency and communication are set high on my priority list, and this makes me well-equipped to tackle any project, big or small.
My goal is to make your life easier. I’ll take any direction you’re willing to offer regarding a project, but I don’t ask you to guide me through the whole thing. Once the assignment is in my hands, you shouldn’t have to worry about it—if it’s going to be on time, if the writer fully knows what you want, or if the finished product will even be any good. I have a portfolio that speaks for itself, and satisfied clients to speak for me.
Get in touch with me today and we can get started on making something awesome.
